Notes
Benefit: Concealed forearm micro-cycler that fires a 3-round burst from a hidden muzzle. Ranged weapon dealing 2d4 ballistic damage in a 3-round burst (attack at -2), or a single shot dealing 1d4 at no penalty, range increment 20 ft; reads clean on standard weapon scans like a spur blade. Minor benefit level.
Install Risk: Mechanics DC 15 to mount the cycler in a forearm cavity. Recipient makes a Fortitude save DC 14 or gains Botched Implant: cavity infection (-1 to attacks with the arm) for 1d4 days until a Medicine DC 14 treatment. Failure by 5+ damages the forearm nerves for 1d4 days at -2.
Signature: Ghost and weapon-grade. A concealed firearm is contraband in the Core and Inner worlds; carrying it through a tracked checkpoint risks arrest, worse than a blade because it is a ranged weapon on the grid.
Strain: The cycler jams on a natural 1 attack roll, requiring a Mechanics DC 12 to clear (a standard action). Reload is awkward (a full action to hand-feed the hidden magazine). Concealment depends on staying off-grid; an upgraded Core scanner cross-checking the Kadiss registry flags the unregistered firing assembly.
