Benefit: Sealed cartridge-fed lung replacement. +4 to Fortitude saves vs inhaled toxins, gas, smoke, and airborne pathogens, and you function normally in thin or fouled atmospheres for up to 1 hour. Minor to moderate benefit level.

Install Risk: Medicine DC 15 surgery to fit the organ. Recipient makes a Fortitude save DC 12 or gains Botched Implant: reduced capacity, -1 to CON-based endurance checks until a Medicine DC 13 correction.

Strain: Filter cartridges expire weekly. A spent cartridge drops the bonus to +0 until replaced. The organ scrubs air only, it gives no protection in vacuum.
