Notes
Benefit: Archotech pump-organ of cultured diamond-lattice fibre with no known wear point. +6 to Fortitude saves against fatigue, exhaustion, blood loss, shock, and stun, and you are immune to Fatigue from sustained exertion, so you do not tire from running, marching, or fighting. The sprint reserve grants +20 ft movement and +2 to STR-based checks for 6 rounds, twice per encounter. Below 0 hit points you auto-stabilize without a death save unless a single blow takes you past negative Constitution. Major benefit level.
Install Risk: Medicine DC 22 to integrate the archotech core with the host nervous and circulatory system. Recipient makes a Fortitude save DC 17 or gains Botched Implant: pressure disregulation, nosebleeds and intermittent blackout under exertion, -3 Fortitude until a Medicine DC 19 recalibration by a specialist.
Origin: Pre-Fall archotech stock salvaged from derelicts, or bespoke commissions from a handful of cartels and peer-states. None have been manufactured in living memory.
Signature: Ghost. Off the Kadiss registry entirely; no serial, no manufacture record, and the metabolic signature it produces reads as impossible to standard scanners. Instant deep-flag if a Core medic looks closely.
Strain: Overtrust. The carrier genuinely stops feeling their limits and will run, fight, or bleed far past the point a normal body would have quit, which gets them killed when the rest of the body (lungs, bones, blood) gives out around an engine that will not stop. If the core is ever destroyed in the body, the host drops to 0 hit points instantly.
