Notes
Benefit: Archotech liver that dismantles molecular toxins rather than absorbing them. +6 to Fortitude saves against all toxins, poisons, drugs, and alcohol, and you neutralize one toxic or drug dose instantly as a free action each round with no per-encounter cap. Ongoing poison damage you suffer is halved, you are immune to addiction and to overdose below an outright lethal dose, and you can drink fouled or spoiled water with no ill effect. Major benefit level.
Install Risk: Medicine DC 21 to integrate the archotech lattice. Recipient makes a Fortitude save DC 16 or gains Botched Implant: the lattice over-scavenges, stripping useful drugs and nutrients, leaving the carrier malnourished and unresponsive to beneficial medicines (-3 Fortitude, medicines have half effect) until a Medicine DC 18 recalibration.
Origin: Pre-Fall archotech stock, salvaged from derelicts or held in the private collections of cartels and peer-state intelligence services.
Signature: Ghost. Off the Kadiss registry; its metabolic readout is so clean it actually looks suspicious to a trained medic, since no living body runs that pure.
Strain: The sieve cannot tell poison from medicine. Beneficial drugs, anaesthetics, and combat stims the carrier takes are degraded or destroyed, so healing items, painkillers, and stims work at reduced effect or not at all unless the carrier stands the lattice down for a round (a full action, during which they take toxins fully).
