Notes
Benefit: Cultured liver lattice grown to roughly twice the metabolic throughput of the natural organ. +4 to Fortitude saves against toxins, poisons, drugs, and alcohol, and once per encounter you can neutralize one toxic or drug dose currently in your bloodstream as a free action. You reduce any addiction you hold by one tier and gain +2 to Fortitude vs diseases that target the liver. Moderate benefit level.
Install Risk: Medicine DC 17 to graft the cultured lattice and re-plumb the biliary tree. Recipient makes a Fortitude save DC 14 or gains Botched Implant: enzyme imbalance, intermittent jaundice and -2 Fortitude vs toxins until a Medicine DC 15 regulation.
Origin: Core biomed firms; so useful to addicts, functional drinkers, and operators who expect to be poisoned that it is the single most stolen organ on the black market.
Signature: Restricted. Kadiss-flagged clinic-grade; legal only with a registered indication, otherwise it reads as a black-market organ at any scan.
Strain: Throughput hangover. The day after neutralizing a dose, or after heavy drinking, Fortitude DC 13 or be Sluggish (-1 to initiative and Reflex) for 4 hours while the lattice catches up. Pushing repeated neutralizations in a week imposes a cumulative -1 to Fortitude from metabolic debt.
