Notes
Benefit: House-grade eye cycling the full spectrum. Low-light and thermal vision out to 90 ft (see heat through thin cover and smoke), a 16x zoom, a ballistic overlay (+1 to ranged attack rolls, ignore the first range-increment penalty), and see through smoke, light rain, and fog with no Perception penalty. Major benefit level.
Install Risk: Mechanics DC 19 to splice the multi-band nerve bed. Recipient makes a Fortitude save DC 15 or gains Botched Implant: band bleed, -2 to Perception and dazzled until a Mechanics DC 17 correction at a Core facility. Failure by 5+ leaves the socket inflamed for 1d4 days at -3 to sight checks.
Signature: Tracked and restricted. Registered as House-issue on the Kadiss grid. A multi-band military optic is unmistakable; possession without a sponsor flags at any Kadiss checkpoint that scans for military-grade optics.
Strain: Light service (quarterly Mechanics DC 14 at a licensed bay). On EMP or ion exposure, Fortitude DC 14 or the eye drops to single-band low-light for 1d4 rounds (lose thermal, zoom, and overlay, -2 ranged). The thermal band false-reads on extreme ambient heat (forges, plasma), -1 to Perception in such zones.
