Notes

Benefit: Augmentation Capacity in points equals the character's CON score. Each installed aug spends its capacityCost. The Cybernetic Adaptation feat lets the first 2 implants' capacityCost not count toward strain. While total installed capacityCost is at or under your CON score, augs run clean.

Install Risk: When total installed capacityCost exceeds CON score, the character is over-augmented and suffers Augmentation Strain. For every 1 point over, take a cumulative -1 penalty to Fortitude and Will saves (the body and mind fighting the hardware load). At +5 over CON or worse, the GM rolls each scene for a malfunction: a random installed aug glitches and gives no benefit until a Mechanics or Medicine DC 12 reset.

Origin: Core chassis rule from spec-humanity-augmentation section 3 and spec-rules-system. References CON, Fortitude, Will, and the Cybernetic Adaptation feat.

Signature: Applies regardless of tracked or ghost status. Black-clinic augs strain the body exactly as much as registered ones, they simply hide it from the Kadiss grid, not from the flesh.

Strain: Strain is mechanical, not moral. There is no humanity meter and no alignment cost, the price of becoming more machine than the body tolerates is expressed as save penalties and instability. Strain clears only by removing augs to get back under capacity (each removal is an install-grade procedure).
