Notes
Benefit: Neural socket that loads one skill chip above the Kadiss baseline. While a chip is loaded, treat one chosen non-physical skill (Computers/Slicing, Astrogation, Bureaucracy, Xenology, or Medicine) as if you had 4 ranks. Does not stack with your own ranks, use the higher. Swapping chips is a 1-minute action. Moderate benefit level.
Install Risk: Medicine DC 16 for the socket. Recipient makes a Fortitude save DC 13 or gains Botched Implant: chip-rejection headaches, -1 to INT-based skills until a Medicine DC 14 correction.
Strain: Licensed chips phone home, logging your location and chip use on the Kadiss grid. Pirated chips risk corruption, on load roll Computers DC 12 or the skill is unavailable that scene.
