Notes
Benefit: Cultured gastric sac with reinforced acid glands and an engineered enzyme set. +4 to Fortitude saves against ingested poisons, spoilage, and food-borne disease, and you can eat nearly any organic matter for nutrition, including raw or borderline-spoiled food. You extract about 50 percent more nutrition from what you eat, so half rations sustain you. Once per encounter you can neutralize a swallowed toxin dose as a free action. Moderate benefit level.
Install Risk: Medicine DC 17 to graft the cultured stomach and reline the gut. Recipient makes a Fortitude save DC 14 or gains Botched Implant: enzyme overflow, chronic heartburn and -2 Fortitude vs ingested threats until a Medicine DC 15 regulation.
Origin: Core biomed firms; issued to deep-cover agents, long-duration scouts, and anyone whose mission is to live off whatever they can catch or scavenge.
Signature: Restricted. Kadiss-flagged clinic-grade; legal only with a registered indication, otherwise it reads as black-market at a scan.
Strain: Acid temperament. The reinforced stomach acid is hard on anything the carrier swallows whole, and on their own teeth and throat over years; in the short term, if the sac neutralizes a toxin it refluxes hard, Fortitude DC 13 or be Nauseated for 1d3 rounds.
