Notes
Benefit: Cheap hydraulic-strut replacement arm. +1 to STR-based Athletics checks for lifting, prying, and hauling, and a crush grip that holds 20 kg without tiring and cannot be forced open by hand. -2 to all Dexterity-based fine tasks (Sleight of Hand, lockpicking, threading, reloading) performed with the arm. Minor benefit level.
Install Risk: Mechanics DC 14 to bolt the strut to the shoulder cuff. Recipient makes a Fortitude save DC 12 or gains Botched Implant: misaligned ram, -1 to all attacks and Athletics with the arm until a Mechanics DC 13 realignment. Failure by 5+ tears the cuff loose for 1d4 days of total arm loss.
Signature: Grey. Unregistered salvage hardware, common on Rim docks and in neo-hive foundries. Unremarkable in the Outer worlds; flagged as untaxed prosthetics at strict Core checkpoints.
Strain: The ram is loud and slow. Permanent -4 to Stealth while the arm is attached, and the crush grip cannot release on command without a Mechanics DC 10 toggle, a hazard when shaking hands or handling cargo. Service every 30 days (Mechanics DC 11) or the strut seizes (-2 Athletics) until repaired.
