Notes
Benefit: Replacement eye with integral rangefinder and ballistic overlay. +1 to ranged attack rolls in clear line of sight, ignore the first range-increment penalty, and +2 to Perception checks to spot at distance. Moderate benefit level.
Install Risk: Mechanics DC 17 to splice the optic nerve and seat the unit. Recipient makes a Fortitude save DC 14 or gains Botched Implant: -2 Perception and light sensitivity until a Mechanics DC 15 repair. Failure by 5+ leaves the socket inflamed for 1d4 days at -2 to all sight-based checks.
Signature: Tracked. Civilian units are Core-registered. Military-pattern oculars are restricted issue, possession without a permit flags on Kadiss checkpoints.
Strain: Electronic and exposed. On exposure to an EMP or ion effect, Fortitude DC 12 or the eye goes offline 1d4 rounds (blinded on that side, -2 ranged attacks). Glare washes the overlay, -1 vs flash effects.
