Notes
Benefit: Replacement eye with a dedicated 8x optical zoom. +2 to Perception checks to spot, count, or read at distance, read lips and identify faces at up to 200 metres, and halve the range-increment penalty on the wearer's Perception (not attack) at long range. Moderate benefit level.
Install Risk: Mechanics DC 16 to splice the optic nerve and seat the zoom carriage. Recipient makes a Fortitude save DC 14 or gains Botched Implant: focus drift, -2 to ranged Perception until a Mechanics DC 15 recalibration. Failure by 5+ leaves the socket inflamed for 1d4 days at -2 to sight checks.
Signature: Tracked. Registered as a civilian spotting optic on the Kadiss grid. Common among scouts, spotters, and observers; uncontested in the Inner worlds.
Strain: Electronic. On EMP or ion exposure, Fortitude DC 13 or the eye goes dark 1d4 rounds (blinded on that side, -2 Perception). The narrow zoom field cuts peripheral vision, -1 to spot adjacent threats while zoomed.
