Toxin working through the blood: repeat Fort saves at the poison's interval or suffer its damage/effect.
A poisoned character has a toxin in their blood -- injected, inhaled,
swallowed, or wicked through the skin from a coated blade. They must repeat
a Fortitude save at the poison's onset interval (default 1 minute; combat
toxins 1 round). Each failed save applies the poison's listed damage or
effect, typically 1d3 Constitution damage, 1d4 hit points, or the Sickened
condition; three consecutive successful saves purge the dose. Antitox and
broad-spectrum chems grant +4 to these saves, and a Medical Injector (Medicine
check at the poison's DC) neutralizes a dose outright. Initial contact is
resisted with a Fortitude save, and multiple doses each demand their own save
track. Constructs have no blood to poison and are immune.
