Fabricator Master

Build 2 items per fabricator cycle; halve build time; salvage 50% materials on failure.

The character has mastered the use of portable and Station fabricators. The character can produce 2 items per fabricator cycle (instead of 1) when building simple items (rations, ammo, basic tools, repair parts). Build times are halved for all items the character produces. On a failed build check, the character salvages 50% of the raw materials (instead of losing them all). The character can produce items of up to 1 tier above their usual capability (e.g., a level-3 character can build level-4 items).

Notes

Special: Requires access to a fabricator (station-based or large portable). The double output applies only to simple items; complex items (custom augs, vehicles, weapons) still require 1 cycle each. The halved build time applies to all items, including complex ones. The 50% material salvage is a one-time refund, not a guarantee; the GM may require a follow-up Mechanics check (DC 10) to determine the actual salvaged amount. The +1 tier build is for personal capability, not for items normally restricted by license or class.
