Non-combatant ally gains +4 Perception; reroll vs.
The character establishes a perimeter watch with a designated
ally, each covering the other's blind spot. The character may
designate one non-combatant ally (e.g., a Tech, Chaplain, or
wounded crewmate) as a 'Watch Pair'. That ally gains +4 to
Perception checks to detect threats and surprise attackers
while the character is within 30 feet. Once per encounter, the
character and the Watch Pair ally may each reroll their
initiative (must accept the second result) when one of them
is surprised. The character and the ally may share a brief
visual of the area they are each watching once per encounter
(a free action), gaining +2 to their next Perception check
in that area.

Notes
Special: The 'non-combatant ally' criterion is loose: it means an ally not currently engaged in a hostile action. A wounded Soldier, a Tech on overwatch, a Chaplain tending the wounded -- all qualify. The Watch Pair designation persists for the encounter. Does not function if the character is unconscious.
