Airlock Cycle-Trap

Forced decompression cycle rigged to intrusion.

Station and Derelict security alike like a cycled airlock when the threat can be thrown out an airlock with no paperwork. Trip a sensor or trigger the cycle, and the inner door closes, the outer door opens, and whatever was inside has between three seconds and ten seconds of Vacuum to live through. The trick is that the airlock has its own override on the bus -- and that the people who set the trap were betting on the cycle, not the override. Whoever holds the override holds the room.

Rules Reference

FieldValue
Detect / Dc15
Detect / NoteSensors & Signals (DC 14) reads the bus handshake; Engineering (DC 14) reads the seal pressure.
Detect / SkillPerception
Prevented BySlaved cycle controller, Manual override
ResetAutomatic; repressurizes in 1d4 rounds once the inner door resets.
Save / Dc17
Save / NoteVacuum exposure; sealed suit grants immunity, half damage on a successful save, double damage on a fail by 5+.
Save / TypeFortitude
Trigger / DetailCycles on intrusion sensor, on a coded SecOps key, or on a manual cycle command.

Disarm

dc: 20

FieldValue
dc20
noteSlave the cycle controller to false-positive; failure by 5+ launches the cycle.
skillHacking

dc: 20

FieldValue
dc20
noteManual override at the access panel; takes 1 full round.
skillEngineering

dc: 20

FieldValue
dc20
noteJam the outer-door seal; cycle stalls at half-pressure (still a hazard).
