Cheap Rim/Legion booby-trap: a pressure plate wired to a shaped charge under flooring or a doorway.
The Rim's answer to a door it does not want opened: a salvaged shaped charge under a
pressure plate, a floor panel, or a corpse worth looting. Stepping on it, or lifting the
bait, completes the circuit. Legion sappers lay them in patterns; Rim clans improvise them
from mining charges. The tell is always there for someone who slows down -- a seam that
does not match, dust that sits wrong, a body left too neatly.
