Human
Baseline Confederation stock with no ability adjustments, bonus feat, and extra skill points.
Baseline humans are the unmodified root stock of the Confederation -- the genetic starting point from which every other human lineage diverged. They carry no specialisation written into their genes, which in a galaxy of engineered peoples is itself a strategic advantage: they adapt, they learn, they fill every niche no one else was bred for. The Confederation was built by baseline hands before anyone thought to improve them, and baseline humans remain its demographic and cultural anchor. When a problem does not fit the engineering brief of any specialised lineage, a baseline human is usually the one who solves it.
