Korrak

Heavyworlder reptilian xenosapient species from the scorching Desert world Korr.

Korrak are thick-scaled reptilian humanoids from Korr, a high-gravity Desert world near the Confederation core. Their heavy, low-slung bodies evolved under 2.3 standard G, granting them dense muscle and a bone structure that laughs at impacts. Korrak society is clan-based, organised around ancient water-sealed vaults called thalaks where elders adjudicate disputes through ritual combat. They served as shock troops during the Rim Secession and earned a reputation for unbreakable morale. The Confederation values Korrak as heavy infantry and siege engineers, though their brusque manner and physical intimidation make them poor diplomats. Korrak are cold-blooded; they grow sluggish in freezing environments but thrive in heat that would fell other species.
