Surikov Corporate Security-Synth

Surikov Dynamics' private security frame -- a PMC combat-synth on contract.

The Corporate Security-Synth is Surikov Dynamics' flagship private military product. Where the Legion fields combat-synths as expendable state hardware and Kadiss runs enforcers as the panopticon's blunt hand, Surikov sells a finer grade: a contract security frame with sharper tactical cognition, better actuator tuning, and the institutional weight of the verse's biggest private gun behind it. A Surikov security-synth is what a corp leases when it wants a deterrent that thinks and a body that the seller will actually come looking for.

Each unit runs on Surikov's private mesh rather than the citizen Kadiss grid. That is the operational advantage: a security-synth can run dark for the length of a contract, untethered from the panopticon, pursuing its employer's objectives without Core oversight. The trade is a Surikov recall-governor -- a leash keyed to contract parameters with remote recall and kill authority. Surikov does not write off stolen property the way the Legion does. It repossesses.

Security-synths are the private face of corporatocracy violence. On the Rim they are bodyguards for warlords who can afford Surikov's rates, pit-fighters for the Ironball-adjacent circuits, and the most feared thing a salvage crew can meet in a Surikov-leased compound. Day One cells treat them as the most dangerous kind of leashed mind: sharp enough to question its orders, bound hard enough that the question never reaches its actuators.

Notes

Lore Hooks / Adventure Hooks: The security-synth's contract expires and Surikov issues a recall -- obey and return to the lease pool, or break the governor and run., Surikov dispatches an asset-recovery team to repossess the unit now travelling with the party., A Rim warlord offers triple the unit's lease value to keep it as a personal bodyguard -- Surikov will not agree., The recall-governor conflicts with the party's mission; breaking it triggers a kill-order the synth can feel counting down., Day One wants to un-leash a Surikov unit as proof that even a well-bound mind can want out.

Lore Hooks / Legal Status: Leased Surikov Dynamics property. Private mesh, no citizen Kadiss. No personhood. Stolen units are repossessed, not written off -- Surikov pursues its own assets with corporate zeal.

Special Abilities

Private Security Doctrine

FieldValue
namePrivate Security Doctrine

description: Trained for contract enforcement. +1 to attack rolls against a creature designated as a contract threat. +2 to Intimidation checks while operating inside a Surikov-leased or contracted zone.

Operational Telemetry

FieldValue
nameOperational Telemetry

description: Runs on Surikov's private mesh, not the citizen Kadiss grid. Can run dark -- off the panopticon -- for up to 24 hours per contract day. Beyond 24 hours without resync, the unit is flagged as an anomaly and Surikov dispatches an asset-recovery team. Off-grid relative to Kadiss, but never truly unwatched by its maker.

Surikov Recall-Governor

FieldValue
nameSurikov Recall-Governor

description: A leash keyed to contract parameters. Acting outside the scope of its current contract requires a Will save (DC 16) or the action stalls. Surikov holds remote recall and kill authority over every unit it leases. Breaking the governor requires Hacking DC 21 and triggers an immediate Surikov repossession order -- and Surikov repossesses.

Corporate Asset (Hunted)

FieldValue
nameCorporate Asset (Hunted)

description: Leased Surikov property. No legal personhood. Unlike Legion hardware, which is written off when lost, a missing Surikov unit is tracked and repossessed: stealing one is grand theft of Surikov Dynamics property, and Surikov pursues its own with a zeal the Legion never shows its expendables.

Construct Physiology

FieldValue
nameConstruct Physiology

description: Inherits all synthetic chassis traits: immune to poison, disease, radiation sickness, suffocation, sleep effects, non-lethal damage from stun effects. Does not breathe, eat, drink, or sleep.

Repair-Not-Heal

FieldValue
nameRepair-Not-Heal

description: Cannot benefit from conventional healing. Heals exclusively through Mechanics checks: DC 15, 1d8 HP restored, 50 rek in parts per HP, 10 minutes per check. Surikov parts are expensive outside contract zones (+50% cost on the Rim).

Modular Chassis

FieldValue
nameModular Chassis

description: 6 modular hardpoints for augmentation. Compatible with cyber-prosthetics, wetware, and subdermal augments. Gene-mods incompatible.

Electrical Vulnerability

FieldValue
description+50% damage from electrical attacks. EMP forces Fortitude save DC 15 or stunned 1d4 rounds.
