Fold Psions
Fold psions reach through the same dimensional pressure crossed by LaGrange Cores. A Power Check is d20 + Wisdom modifier + psion level against the power's Difficulty Number.
Each manifestation adds Fold Points. A psion's threshold is their Wisdom score plus psion level. Crossing it requires a Catastrophe Save; failure rolls on the Catastrophic Perils table. A natural 1 triggers a Fold Cascade. The exact power entry controls range, duration, effect, prerequisites, and cost.
Fold power creates pressure, surveillance, legal risk, or physical danger. The rules do not reveal the Fold's origin or final cosmology.
Gene-Psions
Gene-psionics is a heritable minor capacity that does not open the Fold in the same way. It is more common and more tolerated, though Kadiss screening and Family bloodline programmes still make it politically dangerous.
Power Reference
Browse compendium/psionic/index for the playable entries. A character receives psionic ability only from a rule that explicitly grants it; a scientific, religious, or medical class is not psionic by analogy.
