Hemorrhaging (Ongoing Bleed)

Open wound bleeds each round: lose the source's bleed amount at start of turn.

A hemorrhaging character has a wound that will not close on its own -- an arterial hit from a monomolecular blade, a wire-slash from a board, a bite that keeps bleeding. At the start of each of their turns they lose the bleed amount set by the source (typically 1d4 HP, or a fixed value for severe wounds) until the flow is stopped. The bleeding ends with a successful Medicine check (DC 15, standard action by self or adjacent ally), with any healing or stim effect, or with a Fortitude save at the start of the turn (DC = source's bleed DC, default 15) as the body clots on its own. This is the ongoing-damage wound state; it is distinct from the Bleeding condition (Bleeding (Unconscious at 0 HP)), which is the unconscious, dying-at-0-HP death state.
