Will Burn

Take on 1 Fold Point as free action: +4 to next save or check within 1 minute.

The character can burn Fold energy to fuel acts of will. As a free action, the character may take on 1 Fold Point to gain +4 to any single d20 roll made within 1 minute (attack, save, skill check, or ability check). The character may use this ability up to 3 times per day (each use takes on 1 Fold Point). Using Will Burn on a power's Power Check triggers normal Perils rules (the +4 may push a check to success).

Combat Action / Effect Script Id: Will Burn

Special: Requires Fold Threshold (Psion archetype or Fold psion). The +4 is not a stacking bonus, it's applied to one specific roll declared by the character. Cannot be used to boost a roll already affected by another +4 (e.g., Precision Shot). The character may always take on the pressure, and doing so can push them over their threshold, which triggers a Catastrophe Save exactly as any other pressure gain does. Stacks with Corruption Resistance: a Will Burn use gains +4 but takes on only 0.5 Fold Points of pressure (rounded up to 1 due to minimum).
