Argus Riot Carapace
Argus's standard corp-security crowd-control rig; the uniform of the internal-security world.
The Argus Riot Carapace is what every Hive-security officer above the rank of patrolman ends up wearing at least once in their career. A full-coverage hard-shell over a foam impact liner, in corporate grey-blue with a stylised Argus eye over the left breast. Built to take a thrown brick, a stun-prod swing, and the kind of dedicated mob violence that breaks lesser armour; blunt-impact and slash protection are exceptional, rifle protection is not the design goal. Argus sells these in three weights: light (officer patrol), standard (riot line), and heavy (extraction team). All variants integrate comms routing, body-camera mounts, and a shock-collar interlock so the wearer's handler can apply a non-lethal pulse if the wearer goes off-script. Legal for licensed security personnel across the Core; restricted on most Rim worlds where the Argus logo is itself a provocation.
