Argus AC-7 Personal Comm Unit
Standard-issue handheld comm for Core citizens
The Argus AC-7 is the default personal communicator carried by Core citizens, junior corp staff, and salvage crews with Kadiss access. It rides the Kadiss grid for relay and identity, links to voice and text channels, and switches to a 256-bit encrypted channel on demand. Battery runs 24 hours on a full charge; the cell is field-swappable. Range is grid-bounded, and outside Kadiss coverage the AC-7 degrades to short-range line-of-sight only (about 5 km). Argus ships them with tracking telemetry on by default; the privacy-conscious swap the cell for an off-grid variant.
