Argus EN-9 Cipher-Gate Encrypted Comm Unit
Restricted encrypted comm for House agents and confidential operations
The EN-9 is Argus's flagship crypto-comm, sold only to licensed House agents, Legion signals officers, and registered corporate security tiers. It rides Argus surveillance bands on rotating frequencies with a 4096-bit cipher that survives the data-slurping tools a black-market deck can throw at it for hours. Range and relay are identical to the AC-7 inside Kadiss coverage; the cipher is the entire point. Possession without a signal-operator's license is a Kadiss-flagged offence. Argus keeps a back-door keyed to the corporate tier by court order; black-market rumours of a fully-sealed variant are persistent and unconfirmed.
