Argus LM-3 Sentinel Motion/Life Scanner
Standard handheld motion and lifesigns scanner
The LM-3 is Argus's everyday hand-held scanner, sold to security patrols, salvage boarding crews, and PMCs. It tracks motion in 50 m, picks up lifesigns (heartbeat and breathing) through a single wall, and overlays both onto a heads-up display compatible with most Argus helmet optics. Designed for clearing a room or a Derelict corridor without putting a muzzle through the door. The unit is Kadiss-registered and logs scans it takes; push the privacy-mode switch and it goes silent, at the cost of -5 to detection checks. Argus markets the privacy-mode as a feature for survivalists; Argus's own security divisions leave it disabled.
