Argus SD-4 Sealed-Lock Secure Datapad
Restricted biometric datapad for House agents, Legion officers, and corporate counsel
The SD-4 is Argus's biometric-locked, hardware-encrypted secure datapad: a slate-sized device that requires a registered fingerprint and a Kadiss-tier key to unlock, encrypts everything on-board at 4096-bit, and self-wipes after five failed unlock attempts. Sold restricted to House agents, Legion officers, registered corporate counsel, and licensed journalists with source-protection standing. The lock-list is the legal proof of secure-source protection; the self-wipe is the legal proof of non-recoverability, which is why both are sold together. Argus back-doors the lock per court order for the corporate tier; the off-grid variant sold on the black-market has no back-door and no warranty.
