Reach Salt-Pan Line Pouch
A drawstring pouch of pan salt with a cut corner, harvested for the one thing salt is really for
The Reach's salt pans are a day's dangerous walk from anywhere worth being, and the clans make the walk anyway, because pan salt is pure and purity is the whole point. Cooking salt has ash in it. Trade salt has whatever the seller swept up. A warding line wants sodium chloride and nothing else, laid an inch wide without a gap, and the clans pour it walking backwards so they never have to take their eyes off the dark. A crossed line will not kill the Veil. It will tell you where the Veil is not. Out there, that is worth a day's walk.
