The Mk.IV is the backbone of every licensed medical clinic from the Core Hives to Rim freeports. Where the Legion's FM-3 is a trauma clamp, the Mk.IV is a full operating theatre compressed into a two-metre pod. Eight manipulator arms work in two Independent fields, allowing simultaneous procedures on a single patient -- repair a punctured lung while stabilising a shattered spine. The organ printer can fabricate simple replacement tissue (skin grafts, vessel patches, nerve bridges) from the patient's own cell stock, though complex organ printing requires a dedicated biolab. The Mk.IV handles standard-tier augmentation installation without fuss, making it the tool of choice for legitimate aug-clinics and the target of choice for black-clinic operators who cannot afford one legitimately. Helix charges a steep licensing fee for the diagnostic library updates; clinics that stop paying find their Mk.IV downgraded to trauma-only mode within 90 days.
