Helix Trauma Stabiliser Mk.II
Emergency stabiliser; freezes a dying patient's condition for one hour.
The Trauma Stabiliser is a single-use emergency device the size of a large auto-injector. Crack it against a dying patient's chest and the device deploys: a compression wrap inflates around the torso, an auto-injector fires a cocktail of coagulants, vasopressors, and neural stabilisers directly into the bloodstream, and a vital-sign beacon starts broadcasting the patient's status to any nearby medical scanner. The patient is not healed -- they are frozen. Bleeding stops worsening, organ failure is suspended, and neural activity is maintained at a baseline that prevents brain death. The effect lasts one hour, which is usually enough time to reach a med-bay, an autodoc, or at minimum a Trauma Medkit. After one hour, the cocktail metabolises and the patient's condition resumes its natural course. Legion medics carry three of these per squad; on the Rim, they are currency.

Notes
Effect: Automatically stabilises a dying patient (no Medicine check required if applied within 2 rounds of incapacitation). Suspends 'bleeding' and 'organ failure' conditions for 1 hour (the patient does not worsen but does not improve). Maintains blood pressure, oxygenation, and neural activity while the patient is transported. Single-use; consumed on activation.
