Helix Trauma Medkit
Advanced trauma kit; handles critical injuries, limb reattachment, and emergency surgery prep.
When a medkit is not enough, the Trauma Medkit steps in. Where the Field Medkit patches and stabilises, the Trauma Medkit actively repairs: haemostatic foam seals deep bleeds, nerve staplers reconnect severed nerve bundles, and the synthetic blood supply can replace a patient's entire volume in an emergency. The portable diagnostic array is a significant step up from the Field Medkit's scanner -- it reads internal injuries, organ damage, and shock states in real-time, giving the field medic a running picture of what is killing the patient and in what order. The Trauma Medkit is standard issue for Legion combat medics, PMC field surgeons, and Rim clinic operators who cannot afford an autodoc. It cannot install augmentations or perform complex surgery, but it can keep a patient alive and stable for hours, which is usually enough to reach a proper surgical suite. The synthetic blood packs are Helix-patented and cross-compatible with all engineered human lineages; the company is quietly proud of this fact.

Notes
Effect: Grants +4 bonus to Medicine checks for stabilising critical trauma, reattaching severed limbs (if presented within 1 hour), and performing emergency field surgery. Heals 2d8 HP per use. Can treat: bleeding, fractures, burns (minor), internal damage (stabilisation only). Removes 'bleeding' and 'fractured' conditions on successful treatment. Each use consumes one surgical supply pack.
