Numen Aegis-7 Combat Barrier
Standard combat-grade energy barrier for Legion and PMC operators.
The Aegis-7 is Numen's workhorse combat barrier, issued to Legion boarding squads and premium PMC contractors. A reinforced emitter array on a heavy belt unit projects a full-body energy shell biased toward frontal coverage, the most common threat axis in corridor and boarding actions. The field handles sustained small-arms fire and can absorb a single heavy hit before requiring a recharge cycle. Numen's proprietary field-stabilisation keeps the shell coherent under stress better than competitors, but the trade-off is a faint visual distortion at the field edges that trained operators learn to shoot through. Standard Legion issue for void-marine boarding teams; restricted export under Confederation arms treaties.

Drawbacks: heavy belt-mounted power unit, field distorts vision at edges (minor perception penalty), overload risk from sustained heavy fire
