Surikov VBS-4 Ballistic Breacher Shield
Heavy ballistic breacher shield with integrated viewport; the corridor-crawler's best friend.
The VBS-4 is Surikov's dedicated breaching shield: thicker, heavier, and more survivable than the Legion's riot shield, with an armoured viewport that lets the operator see and shoot while advancing into fire. Designed for void-marine corridor assaults and Hive-stack room clearing, the VBS-4 eats small-arms fire that would shred lighter shields and keeps the operator alive long enough to reach the objective. The weight is brutal: 14kg on one arm, turning every corridor into an endurance test. Operators train to manage the fatigue and the one-handed shooting the shield demands. The VBS-4 is restricted to breaching teams and heavy security details; Surikov does not sell to civilians, though the Rim has no shortage of copies built from salvaged hull plate.
