The Fold Resonance Projector is one of the most dangerous and restricted weapons in known space, a device that opens a controlled (barely) channel to the Fold and projects its alien energy as a resonance beam that attacks matter at a fundamental level. The beam does not burn, cut, or shatter -- it causes molecular bonds to destabilise, flesh to mutate, and armour to transmute into brittle, cancerous compounds. Targets struck by the beam suffer wounds that resist conventional medicine and leave residues that sicken nearby personnel. The weapon's danger is not limited to its targets: the projector's Fold channel generates psychic feedback that can cause hallucinations, madness, and spontaneous mutation in the operator, and prolonged use risks opening an uncontrolled rift. Only Asset Realisation's most trusted (and expendable) clients are offered the Fold Resonance Projector, and even then the weapon is classified as forbidden by every government in known space.
