Clan 'Sunscorch' Particle Lance
Clan-built particle lance; salvaged accelerator tech, brutal and effective.
The 'Sunscorch' is a Rim-clan manufactured particle lance, built from salvaged accelerator components and repurposed power systems. Clan armourers who gain access to damaged or discarded particle weapon technology reverse-engineer the accelerator arrays and rebuild them into functional, if crude, particle lances. The Sunscorch lacks the refinement of Core-manufactured PPCs: its particle coherence is lower, its thermal management is rudimentary, and its power system is a jury-rigged assembly of scavenged charge cells. Despite this, the Sunscorch delivers particle bolts that shred armour at the molecular level, a capability that no other Rim-manufactured weapon can match. Each Sunscorch is unique, built by its maker from whatever components were available, and carried as proof that the Rim can match Core firepower through ingenuity and desperation. Possessing one in Core space is a serious offence; carrying one on the Rim is a statement of intent.
