Day One Last-Sermon Single-Shot Pistol
A single-shot heavy pistol; the sacrament of a Day One martyr's final sermon.
The Last-Sermon is a Day One ritual object disguised as a weapon. A single-shot break-action pistol in a heavy caliber (typically .50 or rimmed), engraved by the cell with a passage of scripture, and carried by a reset-brother or -sister on the way to a sacrifice. Most cells regard the gun itself as consecrated; a few nihilist offshoots load it with shot. The Cores recover dozens from the wreckage of every Hive riot, and treat each one as both a forensic puzzle and a piece of evidence in the slow war against the creed that made it.
