Family Orchid Bespoke Pistol
A jewel-finished duelling pistol commissioned by a House for the opera or the duel.
The Orchid is not really a weapon so much as a piece of Family jewellery that also fires. Commissioned in matched walnut, with a hand-fit mirror slide, ivory grips carved with the patron's mark, and a Kadiss-locked firing pin that bonds the piece to a single biometric signature. Most Orcids never fire a round in anger; they are carried to the opera, to the House tribunal, or to a duel where shooting the other man is the polite outcome. Mechanically it is a refined 9mm; socially it is worth more than the apartment it is fired in.
