Helios Kestrel Civilian Carbine
A polite Core-world civilian carbine, sold for farm-pest control and estate defence.
The Kestrel is what Helios sells to licensed civilians who want a longer reach than a pistol but not the political weight of an LC-9. A short-barrel 5.56 semi-auto carbine with a polite walnut stock, a ten-round magazine, and a Kadiss interlock that prevents burst or full-auto fire regardless of any in-field modification. Estate owners, colonists, and reserve peace-keepers buy it for pest control and the once-a-decade bandit raid. On the Rim, an enterprising armourer can defeat the interlock in an afternoon, and the Kestrel is then indistinguishable from an A-4.
