Helios T-1 'Torch' C-Beam Cutter
Compact continuous-beam cutter; industrial tool turned sidearm, burns through targets with sustained fire.
The T-1 'Torch' began life as an industrial cutting tool for shipyard work and salvage operations, a continuous-beam emitter designed to slice through hull plating and structural steel. Its adoption as a personal weapon was inevitable: the same sustained beam that cuts bulkheads will cut flesh and armour with equal efficiency. The Torch lacks the punch of a pulsed las, but its continuous burn inflicts grievous wounds the longer it stays on target. Dock workers, salvage crews, and Rim fighters all value its dual-purpose nature, and its industrial pedigree means it avoids some of the legal restrictions that plague purpose-built weapons.
