Legion LC-4 Coilgun
Legion-issue coil sidearm; built to military spec for reliability under fire.
The LC-4 is the Legion's standard-issue coil sidearm, a military-specification electromagnetic pistol designed to survive the abuse of extended field deployment. Where the Surikov CK-2 prioritises refinement, the LC-4 prioritises durability: its solenoid array is armoured against impact and debris, its power system is field-swappable, and its tolerances are deliberately loose enough to function after exposure to Vacuum, mud, or blood. The trade-off is marginally lower accuracy than the CK-2, a fact that Legion armourers consider acceptable given that most sidearm engagements happen at arm's length. The LC-4 is issued to NCOs, officers, and specialist troops; it cannot be purchased commercially, and Legion regulations prohibit their sale or transfer.
