Legion-issue LC-9 Service Carbine
The Confederation's standard-issue 5.56 carbine; every Legion trooper's long arm.
The LC-9 is the rifle the Legion hands every trooper at the induction depot. A 5.56 gas-operated carbine with a thirty-round magazine, full-length picatinny rail, and a folding stock that collapses for vehicle work and voidboarders. It is plain and unlovely, and a trained Legionnaire can field-strip it blind. It is, however, dependable in Vacuum, dirt, Vacuum-dirt, and three-day amphibious slogs, which is exactly what the Legion asks of it. Issued to standing armies; sold secondhand by the crate on the Rim.
