Legion LMG-12 Rampart Squad Support
A Legion squad-support machine gun firing an armour-piercing 7.62 round from a tripod.
The Rampart is the Legion's heavier answer to the VK-5: a 7.62 belt-fed machine gun chambered for an armour-piercing loading that chews through light cover, vehicles, and unsupported infantry positions at a rate the enlisted man finds genuinely alarming. Issued only to veteran support-weapons squads and to fortress-Station defences, the Rampart almost always runs from a tripod. The combination of tripod, spare barrels, and ammunition drum makes it a four-man lift on the march, and the reason every Legion squad has a designated loader who is not allowed to touch anything else.
