Legion 'Sentinel' Heavy Particle Projector
Legion heavy particle projector; squad-level anti-armour energy weapon.
The 'Sentinel' is the Legion's heavy particle projector, a squad-level anti-armour weapon designed to deliver particle lance capability in a military-specification package. The Sentinel was developed after Legion procurement identified a gap in its anti-armour capability: railguns are effective but power-hungry and slow to reload, while beam weapons lack the armour-shredding effect needed against heavy targets. The Sentinel fills this gap with a particle accelerator array that fires sustained bolts at long range, stripping armour and destroying equipment with each impact. Its power system uses standardised Legion charge cells, and its thermal management is designed for sustained field operation. The Sentinel is issued to Legion heavy weapons platoons and anti-armour teams; it is the most powerful particle weapon in general military service, and its deployment signals a serious commitment of force.
