Rim 'Gutter' Holdout Coil
Clan-built concealable coil pistol; crude, effective, untraceable.
The 'Gutter' is a Rim-clan manufactured holdout coil pistol, a crude but functional electromagnetic sidearm built from salvaged solenoid wire and repurposed power cells. Where the Surikov CK-2 is a precision instrument, the Gutter is a blunt tool: its coils are hand-wound, its frame is machined from scrap alloy, and its power system is a jury-rigged cell pack that delivers enough charge for a few dozen shots before needing a full recharge. None of that matters to the Rim operators who carry it. The Gutter is cheap, concealable, and fires penetrators fast enough to punch through standard body armour. It has no serial number, no Kadiss registration, and no manufacturer of record. Clan armourers produce them in batches; they appear in market stalls across the Rim under a dozen different names, all of them the same ugly, reliable weapon.
