Surikov CK-2 Coil Pistol
Standard Surikov coil sidearm; electromagnetic acceleration in a pistol frame.
The CK-2 is Surikov Dynamics' entry-level coil pistol, a compact electromagnetic sidearm that accelerates ferromagnetic slugs to velocities impossible with chemical propellant. The CK-2's nested solenoid array fits within a standard pistol grip, drawing from a self-contained microcell to fire hypersonic flechettes that punch through light armour with ease. Recoil is negligible compared to equivalent-calibre slugthrowers, and the weapon is near-silent save for the sharp crack of the slug breaking the sound barrier. The CK-2 is standard issue for Surikov corporate officers, PMC team leads, and any operator willing to pay the premium over a conventional sidearm. Restricted under Confederation arms law; possessing one without a Kadiss-registered licence is a Tier-2 offence.
