Surikov ML-4 Guided Missile Launcher
Man-portable guided missile launcher; fire-and-forget with seeker head.
The ML-4 is Surikov Dynamics' man-portable guided missile launcher, a weapon that brings fire-and-forget capability to the infantry squad. The ML-4's missiles carry a dual-purpose warhead -- shaped charge for armour penetration and fragmentation sleeve for area effect -- and are fitted with a seeker head that acquires and tracks targets after launch. The operator designates a target via the launcher's integrated sight, fires, and can immediately seek cover while the missile guides itself to impact. The ML-4 is effective against vehicles, aircraft, and hardened positions; its range exceeds any direct-fire weapon in the infantry arsenal. The weapon system is expensive, both in launcher cost and per-missile price, and its electronic seeker makes it vulnerable to countermeasures. The ML-4 is sold to PMC contracts and government buyers; its restricted classification reflects the damage a single operator can inflict.
