Surikov VK-5 Sustained LMG
A 7.62 general-purpose machine gun for sustained suppressive fire.
The VK-5 is Surikov's section-level machine gun: a 7.62 belt-fed GPMG with a quick-change barrel, a bipod, and a buttstock designed to be shouldered by a determined operator for hours at a time. Legion doctrine assigns it to the support-weapons squad in every infantry section; PMCs mount it on technicals and convoy rooftops; House retinues carry it as a static-defence weapon on glitter-band Stations. It is heavy, loud, and obliges a second pair of hands to carry the spare barrels and the ammunition. Used to be a heavier world; in the post-KS-8 era it has settled into its honest role of laying hate down a corridor.
