Hive-Gang Operator

Born in the lower decks.

Lower-deck raised, gang-affiliated, and already booked on Asset Realisation's books by adolescence. Hive-gang operators run the small-time asset realisation -- debt collection, fencing, unlicensed augs, Door-Hacker cover, snitch-and-snare. Their Kadiss tier is worker-class on paper and ghost in practice -- they know how to spoof and how to run dark by minutes. They leave the Hive by arrest, by debt-sell, by gun, or by the next ship out. The leash is the local crew boss; the debt is the gang's, which is the Core's, which is the Nine's.

Notes

Background Trait / Effect: Once per session the character may roll Streetwise or Deception with advantage (a standing favour with a hive fixer). +2 bonus to Deception checks performed against Argus surveillance (years of practice). However, Asset Realisation lists the character as a flagged asset in the lower-deck ledger: any Bureaucracy check performed by a Confed official against the character is made with advantage, and any attempt to enter Confed-tier space while carrying the registered ID is met with detention.

Social Hook: The operator knows which janitor closet hides a black-clinic door, which Kadiss-beacon is spoofed for the next hour, and which Argus patrol walks the wrong corridor tonight. They have a record, a crew, and a tattoo that says what they owe. They can spoof a Tier 4 long enough to walk into a corp lobby, and they know which questions not to ask.

Starting Gear: Lower-deck cover ID (spliced chip, Tier 1 nominal, Tier 0 actual), Jury-rigged datapad (loose-grid, beacon-spoofed), Light armour jacket (hive-cut, concealable, knife-rated), Hold-out pistol (ITEM-HOLD-OUT-slug pistol), Three reloads, Multitool (jailhouse special), Rek chip with starting balance of 250, Crew tattoo or token (the gang's mark; admission to one safe-deck per story), Bag of unlicensed aug parts (no install, no install slot, value ~300 rek on the black market)
