The Glass Refinery
The Glass Refinery is Drift Logistics' orbital processing platform in Korr-Venn orbit: a six- kilometre spine with a plasma forge at its axis, two refinery bays, a small dock, and the kind of hardened commercial office that Drift ships to every mining world it leases.

Notes
Dangers: Refinery accidents (molten-ore spills, the splatter pattern is the local slang for a bad day); dockworker unrest over Meridian's audit (the workers think the accountant is preparing them for a write-down); the rogue psion-jumper is the largest single danger on the station because Drift cannot afford to refuse the cargo and cannot afford to take it.
Hooks: A Meridian Exchange accountant has come up to the Glass Refinery for a quarterly audit and has disappeared into the records vault; the station master is not worried; the accountant's own people are very worried., A rogue psion-jumper has docked at the Refinery offering fast-shipped refined ore at half the going rate; the station's commercial officer is tempted; Drift's site-manager is terrified., A Legion corvette has put in for refuelling and is asking pointed questions about 'the seventh level'; Drift is cooperating; the clan is pretending not to notice.
Lore: The Glass Refinery is Drift Logistics' orbital processing platform in Korr-Venn orbit: a six- kilometre spine with a plasma forge at its axis, two refinery bays, a small dock, and the kind of hardened commercial office that Drift ships to every mining world it leases. Refined ore comes up from the surface in clan-owned shuttles, gets smelted into standardised ingots in the Crucible, gets stamped with a Meridian Exchange assay mark, and goes back down in the next outbound hauler. The Refinery is the only reason the Korr-Venn system has a working LaGrange Core in-system: Drift installed one to keep their refined-ore shipments Fold-clean. Fold-bleed here is low. The Refinery is also the only reason the surface has a working supply line: Drift runs the food and air rek that keep the indenture-miners alive, and Drift sets the ration. Eight thousand five hundred people on-station: refinery crew, Drift commercial staff, dockworkers, a small clan orbital detachment, and a rotating population of off-world buyers and auditors.
Notable: The Crucible Spine (the refinery's central plasma forge, visible from any dock); the Records Vault (where Drift's commercial officer keeps three separate sets of books); the Clink (a small, clan-run prison where off-worlders who cause trouble wait for transit).
